I am fascinated by learning, because I am convinced that we all develop by learning new things. I also believe that we feel most secure in our working life by always keeping our knowledge and skills updated.
Learning is also about networking – learning from each other. For TrygVesta it is important that we share our knowledge and that we pass some of our expertise on to our colleagues. That makes us all wiser because knowledge grows when shared.
Learning is also about being curious. Yearning to learn new things as an individual. At the speed the world is developing, no education – even the best – will last forever. New knowledge is gained, new ways of working, new technology. All of this makes demands on us.
Of course, we may experience times in our working life when the day-to-day tasks set a restricted framework for the time we can spare on learning. That is quite acceptable, but it would be preferable if we all have a feeling that we have learnt something new during the past year.
We do not have to attend big fancy training programmes, just everyday things, and we may develop different talents. Learning is first and foremost about all of us having talent, and about all of us developing new sides of our unique abilities.
